COPELAND Council will hold Christmas memorial services in December.
A service will be held at 6.30pm on both December 13 and 14, at Distington Hall Crematorium. It will include carols, music and readings - followed by light refreshments.
Residents will have an opportunity to remember their loved ones by adding their name to an on-screen tribute list.
Guests can also hang a tag on the Christmas tree in memory of a loved one.
Andy Pratt, Portfolio Holder for Bereavement Services, said: “Christmas is a special and poignant time of year to remember lost loved ones.
“Many people struggle during the seasonal period, and providing people with an outlet and opportunity to remember their loved ones often brings comfort, and allows them to celebrate and remember people dear to them.”
The events are free of charge. However, tickets need to be allocated in advance as numbers will be limited. To secure your place, or add a name to the tribute list, email distingtonhalladmin@copeland.gov.uk or call 01946 598305. The deadline for visual tribute additions is December 5.
