COUNCILLOR Jeanette Forster has been elected as Copeland Council’s Chair for 2021/22.
Councillor Forster, who represents the Sneckyeat ward, was elected to the position at the council’s Annual General Meeting today and succeeds Councillor Charles Maudling.
Councillor Linda Jones-Bulman has been elected as Deputy Chair for the forthcoming year.
Councillor Forster, a Copeland Councillor for the past six years, said: “It is a great honour to be elected as Chair.
"I’d like to thank councillors for their support, and I look forward to working with our councillors and officers over the coming year.”
