Licensing
Our Licensing team deals with a variety of different licensing issues.
Consultation
We are currently reviewing our statements of licensing policy and gambling policy.
You can read the draft Cumberland Council Gambling Policy and draft Cumberland Council Licensing Policy, and download the Cumberland Council consultation response form.
You can also request a copy of the documents and response form at our offices at Allerdale House, Workington, The Civic Centre, Carlisle and The Market Hall, Whitehaven.
Responses will be considered alongside the policy statements by the Licensing Committee on 2 August. The matter will then be referred to council on 26 September. If adopted, the new policies will come into effect from 1 November 2023.
The deadline for consultation responses is July 11, 2023.
