Copeland Council is a great place to work, according to its employees.
More than 90 per cent of employees who took part in an annual staff survey said that they got job satisfaction for their role.
More than 84 per cent of survey respondents would encourage someone to work at Copeland Council and more than 81 per cent felt they had a good work life balance.
Colleagues welcomed the survey and the chance to have their say on how the how the organisation will progress in future.
Roles and responsibilities scored one of the highest marks in the survey with more than 98 per cent of respondents clear of what was expected of them in their role at Copeland.
More than 93 per cent of respondents felt that they were treated fairly and equally by their team and 88 per cent of respondents claimed they had the opportunity to perform their role to the best of their ability.
More than 88 per cent of respondents felt they could be open and honest with their manager and 88 per cent also felt their team worked well together to achieve their aims and objectives.
Mike Starkie, Mayor of Copeland said: “Overall the feedback from our employee survey was incredibly positive with the majority of employees enjoying their role and place of work.
“A strong content workforce is the key to success and Copeland staff are some of the hardest working I’ve come across.
“Many of our employees go above and beyond and provide the best possible service to Copeland residents with a limited amount of resources.”
