COPELAND Mayor Mike Starkie is inviting the borough's business community to hear more about his budget plans.
Mr Starkie will hold two open events to outline Copeland Council's proposed spending for 2018/19.
Specifically aimed at members of the business community, the sessions will take place at Millom Network Centre on Tuesday, January 23 (5pm) and The Beacon Portal, Whitehaven, on Thursday, January 25 (5.30pm).
Mr Starkie said: "I'm looking forward to sharing our budget proposals for the forthcoming year. The public consultation we held towards the end of last year generated a higher-than-normal response that offers us plenty of feedback that we have incorporated into our thinking.
"These events are now an opportunity for the business community to contribute, and all feedback received will be taken on board as we finalise our proposals as the budget-setting process continues over the coming weeks.
"After I've outlined the proposals, I'll be taking questions so this is a good chance for members of the business community to have their say on the issues that matter to them."
