COPELAND Borough Council wants your views on the way it deals with your enquiries customers. The council is asking the public to comment so that it can assess its customer services and make sure it offers the best service for residents. Coun Allan Holliday, portfolio holder for transition and performance, said: “Customer services is our first line of contact with residents and we are always keen to get it right.

“We think our officers do a great job already but since we are moving our reception area to the Market Hall we thought it a good opportunity to look closely at customer services and fine tune it, making sure we deliver the best for our residents.

“We really want as many people as possible to take part and tell us their experiences, as well as what they do and don’t like to see when being dealt with as a customer.”

The council is looking for all views but it might include issues like:

  • What does the council do well in terms of customer services?
  • Have you had a query dealt with quickly or smoothly? What impressed you?
  • Do you have any ideas for how we can improve customer services?
  • Which aspects of it have not worked well for you?

Coun Holliday added: “We will take on board everyone’s input and use it to assess what changes might be needed to create a better service for you.”

People should send their views to CSR@copeland.gov.uk, or post them to Customer Service Review, Copeland Borough Council, The Copeland Centre, Catherine Street, Whitehaven CA28 5SJ. The council needs to hear your views before February 20 2014.
